Nachiketa Schooling System turns energy awareness into a student-led experience
On 24 September 2026, Nachiketa Schooling System brought energy awareness out of the classroom and into action through Pedal for the Planet. The initiative began with a special Save Energy Assembly, where students explored responsible energy use through a teacher-led presentation, an interactive quiz and a documentary. The session concluded with students taking a pledge to make more conscious choices in their daily lives. The learning then moved outdoors through a Cycle Awareness Rally, where students carried sustainability messages on their bicycles and experienced clean mobility first-hand.
The Energy Calculator Wall helped students understand the environmental impact of their collective participation, making the connection between everyday mobility choices and energy conservation more tangible. The day also featured a Promise Wall, where students wrote personal commitments from switching off unnecessary lights and fans to choosing cycling or walking for nearby journeys.
